Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

If i took someone to court and they were found guilty. They were sentence to jail and appealed. What will happen if I dont show up to that court hearing?

If the someone was found guilty of having committed the crime with which s/he was charged, then your participation in the trial proceeding apparently wasn't required. Nevertheless, if you were served with a witness subpoena to appear at the trial as a witness for the state and failed to do so, then you could possibly be found in contempt of court.
