Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
criminal law: abusive language on the telephone
I was sent a summons, accusing me of abuse language over the telephone. I sent one text message to a coworkers daughter with the foul language, after she called me various times, using foul language. I sent the one text message with foul language. She then sent me a voice mail, telling me to stop calling her. She claims the police told her to do this. I did not call her or text her after this. What should I do at my court date on Wednesday?

Get a lawyer(who hopefully may constrain you from further foolish behaviour) and, on top of that, may possibly arrange for a decent settlement of the charge which you're now facing.
