Criminal Record Expungement
i have an arrest for underage possession of alcohol and a conviction for public intoxication in Virginia Beach, VA. I am currently trying to determine whether or not these items may be cleared from my record to assist me in gaining employment upon graduation from the University of Maryland

Re: Criminal Record Expungement
Va. Code Sec. 19.2-392.2(F) allows for expungement of misdemeanor convictions
in situations where the defendant is a first time offender and the Commonwealth does not have good cause to oppose it. The DIP (Drunk in Public)charge, if your only misdemeanor conviction, should therefore normally be expungable under the above statute, assuming that the previous underage possession case was nolle prossed or dismissed.
