Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

my dad was arrested and charged for selling oxy's but he was threatened by the person that if he did not do it he would hurt or kill me and he is a know raptist and was working under cover for the police and my dad clearly only gave him 1 pill but only did it and now they want my dad to go to prison for 6 years and he is 65 his lawyer just seems like it does not matter is this so should he plea bargin or tell what really happened

Selling one of the contraband pills is enough to convict your father, and,

therefore, attempting to get a reasonable plea deal with the Commonwealth is

probably the best route for him to follow in this matter.

Your father, however, may wish to get the opinion of another criminal defense

counsel in the area as to whether the context of the transaction which you've

described should make any difference in the disposition of the case.
