Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My dad had a 2 yr suspension revoked the judge said the 2yrs was concurrent then about 2-3 mths later he was sentenced for a another matter 10yrs with 6yrs and 8mths suspended but this judge said consecutive. So are the sentences concurrent or consecutvie? Both are state courts in VA.

2 years concurrent with what in regard to the first sentence? The second judge
then would've had the discretion to impose the second sentence to begin running
only after the first one had been completed, i.e., consecutive to the first (which
appears to have been what occurred).
