Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My daughter was caught with beer in her pocketbook. She received a ticket for underage possession of alcohol. She is 20 years old and a sophomore at a University in Virginia.She had not been drinking. She has a spotless record. She goes to court on Monday Jan. 25. What should I do ?

You really should hire an attorney if you are so worried. I believe that an attorney can get to the facts, determine if constitutional issues....other issues which are worth fighting. An attorney will most likely be able to negotiate for your daughter better. Some prosecutors will not speak to defendants.
