Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My daughter was with a friend who shoplifted. The friend was tried and found guilty. My daughter was arrested as well and found guilty as well because the friend had put a clothing item in her purse. My daughter served her 3 days in jail. She is now 22 and unable to obtain a job due to her record. She is a licensed nail technician. How can I get this expunged. This occurred when she was 20 years old.

Unfortunately there is no way to get this expunged. In Virginia, expungements are only available to people who were actually innocent. Since your daughter was found guilty there is no way to remove this from her record.
