Death threat consequences
What kind of legal action can I take against a young woman who has made a death threat to me? (a person whom I believe to be mentaly unstable and has violent tendencies)

Section 18.2-60 of the Virginia Criminal Code can make such threats illegal if one is placed in reasonable apprehension by the making of such threat. The crime itself can range from a Class 1 misdemeanor to a Class 5 felony, depending upon the particular circumstances involved.
