Death threats by computer
My sixteen year old daughter recieved a death threat from another sixteen year old girl on her myspace and i have tried to file charges against this girl and the court service unit is telling me there is nothing i can do tell me what my rights better yet my daughters rights are for getting this girl prosecuted

You've apparently been talking with the wrong folks regarding this matter, i.e, the court services unit rather than with a prosecutor at your local office of Commonwealth's Attorney.
As a matter of fact, Va. Code Sec. 18.2-60 criminalizes the kind of conduct which you've described(threats communicated in writing or electronically)as a possible Class 6 felony.
