Destruction of evidence will most likely be charged under obstruction (Virginia Code 18.2-460) or even disorderly conduct. These are 1st class misdemeanors carrying a sentence of up to 1 year in jail and/or a fine of $2500.
The question is less obstruction, and more what pill you took. If the pill was a controlled substance, you could be charged with improper use of a controlled substance which, depending on the pill, could have a much more severe sentence.
