Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Dismissing charge
If an asssault & battery charge is taken out on someone, how would I go about having the charges dismmised? I do not want to press charge. Can I just go to the court house at anytime to have the charges drop? Before the case is heard (court date)?

Re: Dismissing charge
It's not up to you whether or not this criminal charge will be dismissed, but rather the office of the Commonwealth Attorney which is responsible for prosecuting this charge.
