Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Double Charges
My boyfriend was charged with felony possession of paraphanalia about 8 years ago. He was charged in the city he was arrested, and tried/convicted in the city court, but when we got a copy of his criminal record recently, it shows the same charge in the twice, once in the city and again in the county that we live in. It is the same charge and date. Is this legal and what can we do to remedy this situation?
