Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
dropping charges
I broke into a house in a neighborhood my friends left me in while I was passed out drunk. I walked in and fell asleep. I payed all damages the next morning and the victim wants to drop charges. Is this possible? What should I do?

Re: dropping charges
Better get a lawyer; it's not up to your victim but rather the local office of Commonwealth's Attorney regarding the decision to dismiss the charges.
