Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I am due to get off supervised probation in Dec.2010 for embezzlement. i still owe restitution. i received 5 yrs supervised and 5 yrs good behavior. Does my restitution have to be paid in full for me to be off supervised probation and if i pay it off early can i get off probation? I now live in NC. Thank you

Yes, if you pay off the restitution before your period of supervised release expires and you've fully complied with the conditions of your probation, you could petition the court for early tewrmiantion of your probation. As to whether full payment of your restitution order is required before you can be released from supervised probation, I suspect not, but would suggest that you check with your probation officer to make certain.
