Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
dwi
arrested for dwi and upon arriving to police station ask for a lawyer due to i did not no if i should refuse the test or take it or ask to go to the hospital for blood work. i also was questioned extensively. my request was refused stating you do not need one and you are not getting one. is this legal?

Any defendant in police custody is legally entitled at some point to request and to have an attorney come to advise him or her as the accused.
