Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Early Release of Felony Probation

My son served 6 years (3 years in different locations of virginia) and received probation..he has done exceptionally well, paid all fines and now we would like to get him release from probation. This is his last year and his probation office(which is out of state) recommends that he does this but didn't give any advice, since he lives in Delaware but the probation office in virginia. how do we do this? Is there a form for Motion to Terminate Probation

Re: Early Release of Felony Probation

The Virginia attorney who represented your son could be contacted to file this motion to terminate his probation. And, if this person is no longer available, then another criminal defense counsel who practices in the area where the court which sentenced your son is located should also be able to handle the matter.
