Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Embezzlement
I was charged w/embezzlement of $230. I was just curious to an ideal of the penalty I could be facing. I had considered hiring an attorney but cant afford it.

Re: Embezzlement
Ask the court to appoint you a criminal defense counsel. As the charge now stands, it's likely a felony and therefore not something you should be attempting to deal with on your own. (The attorney should be able to provide some idea as to likely penalties in your particular case.)
