Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I had an employee arrested for stealing from my business. Afterwards I found out that she has pending felony charges in another state for drug offenses. I think her case was continued for a year to see if she behaved before they decided how to proceed. 2 days after she was arrested and 4 weeks after the warrant was issued, I had the police come to my door and serve me with a summons for sexual battery. With her as the complainant. Apparently she says this happened the day after I fired her. I am not sure what she is saying I did but I know I did not do anything. I am figuring this comes from my warrant. How worried should I be?
