How legally binding are show cause and adjudicate orders if they contain references to repealed laws and other errors of reference?

I would have to inspect personally the orders you're talking about to be sure, but if they issued out of a court having proper jurisdiction for such matters, I suspect that they are quite
"legally binding", to use your phrase.
