Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
expungement
I pleaded no contest to a charge of grand larceny about 13 year ago. I have not been in trouble before that or after that. I wanted to know if my record can be expunged.
Thank you

Re: expungement
If the conviction was in Virginia, the record of your conviction for this felony cannot be expunged unless you were wrongfully convicted of this crime and are, therefore, eligible to receive a pardon from the Governor.
Also, pleading no contest is the same as pleading guilty.
