Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Expungement
I pleaded gulity in 1993 to petty larceny. No other arrests/convictions before or after. There was no ''accord and satisfasction''. Can I get an expungement? Or would I have to ask for a ''simple pardon'' from the governor? I want to have my record ''hidden'' so I can find a job.
Thank You!

Re: Expungement
You should now be eligible for expungement consideration under Va. Code Sec. 19.2-392.2(F) which allows first time offenders to have their misdemeanor convictions expunged unless the Commonwealth has "just cause" to oppose it.
