I would like to know what steps to take in having an offense removed from my record in Virginia, it was a misdomenor charge of assualt is it possable and if so what steps do I take.I never went to prison just court paid my fine but I'm being treated like a harden criminal. It was 13 years ago.

It now appears possible under Va. Code Sec. 19.2-392.2(F) to have the misdemeanor conviction of a first time (and only) offender in the Commonwealth expunged.
