False Police Report Filed against my child

A neighborhood child falsely accused my child of a crime and the parents filed a false report with the police (some of it contained information they knew to be innacurate). No charges have been pressed of of yet. The child is now making false statements about my child in the neighborhood and at school.

What can I do to get the police report purged and to get the child to stop making false statements?

You should contact the police with your version of the "true facts" regarding the allegedly inaccurate incident report which was filed by the parents and also the principal of your child's school to make him or her aware of the situation and to request whatever remedial action that this person might deem appropriate for this situation.
