Felon firearms prossesing

Was convicted of none violent charge in tenn. 20 yrs. ago.I,ve not been in trouble sence then. Went to flemarket in Vig. ,bought 22 rifle.Went through firearms check, was cleared. But i put on paper that i,ve never been convicted felon''Dumm thing to do/but i thought that was over after 10yrs. Is there any hope for gettiny dismised,orprobation

If your question is whether or not there is any hope of getting the Tennessee felony conviction

dismissed or expunged, some 29 years after the fact, I would say no, and, your reference to getting probation, I simply don't understand.

I do agree, however, with your assessment that it

was a "dumm thing to do" on your part to falsify

an application to purchase a firearm by not disclosing your felony conviction, and, now,by not having done so, you have,potentially,exposed yourself to serious federal criminal charges.

I agree with the post from attorney Hendrickson and would simply add that you need to make sure you you get rid of the gun and do not own or handle one again, because doing so could subject you to federal prison time.
