felony charges
if i appear in court without an attorney and am convicted, can i stay free on existing bail while an appeal is filed?

If you (foolishly)appear in court representing yourself on a felony charge, you will almost surely be convicted, and, whether you then would be allowed to remain free pending your appeal would be up to the discretion of the sentencing court(but I wouldn't count on it if I were you.)
