Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
felony check writing
If you are arrested for writing checks from someone else's checkbook (6 counts of felony) and you have not prior criminal activity, what are you facing? How much bail? What if you can't post bail? How much jail time or other penalties? How long does it stay on your record?

Re: felony check writing
These are all very excellent and appropriate questions----to be directed to the defense counsel representing the unfortunate person
charged in the legal pickle that you have briefly
described.
I wil add, however, that six felony counts in Virginia could result in penitentiary time(one year or more)even though the defendant has no prior record.
