Felony Conviction and CPA
Does a conviction of involuntary manslaughter as a result of a car accident prohibit a person from taking the CPA exam and/or becoming a CPA?

Such a conviction would be a felony under the Virginia Criminal Code. Nevertheless, you should inquire of the agency or organization to which your application for the CPA exam is submitted as to whether this particular type of criminal conviction would be a bar to your becoming a licensed CPA in the Commonwealth.
