Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I saw a fight happen and i called the police because i witnessed two brothers get in a fist fight and one knocked the other out and he fell and hit his head on the curb causing serious head trauma and when the police showed up the brother that did that lied and said it was someone else. out of fear i kept my mouth shut but is there any way i can go to a cop and tell them the truth without any consequences?

No, there can be no such guarantee of no consequences when one decides to
do the right thing by telling the truth (or even when one decides not to do the
right thing by keeping one's mouth shut).
However, for the sake of standing up for your own integrity and doing what is
right for this victimized brother, you should tell the cops what you know
regarding this incident. (The Moral Order of our universe demands no less of you--in my opinion).
