trying to file charges of harassment on an ex boyfriend
Well i am 17 years old and so is the accused. We were boyfriend and girlfriend at the end of last school year. And when school ended we broke up. Well i broke up with him. He began saying he was going to kill me and he hated me and wished i was dead and that i'd get mine. Our parents talked and i was promised that it would stop. But it never has. I have witnesses and phone call messages on my cell phone that could be used in court. My parents and I had to file harassment charges at school. And advised to press charges with the courts. But when we tryed they said that there was nothing they could do. because we're both minors and i never lived or had sex with him. And that the only thing we could do is make a complaint. So we did and we were told that if he says he never said anything that we will have to go to court and prove our case to a judge. And that if the judge finds enough evidence against him that the judge can then place charges. But is there anything else i can do. Because it seems like nothings going to stop him. He just got back from being suspended over this and when i seen him today he was still up to his old tricks.

Re: trying to file charges of harassment on an ex boyfriend
You cannot get a protective order because you are not related nor have you lived together. you could place stalking charges if he consistently shows up where you are with the intent to cause fear. if he threatens to hurt you, you could file a criminal complaint for assault or harassment. This charge would have to be approved by a magistrate and then brought to a judge and hed have to be tried in a criminal court.
If you have notified the school and the law you have done everything that can be done to protect yourself.
Good luck
