Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
filing false CPS reports
Someone has filed a false report against me stating I am physically n sexually abusing my child. The case worker says that the information obtained in the complaint is not what she has found to be tue after further investigation, and she will be closing out my file as undiscoved. My question is do I have any legal recourse against the person filing the claim? How would I go about obtaining that information when the reports do not have the complainant's information?

Re: filing false CPS reports
Very unlikely (as to your recourse), and there is probably no way for you as an accused person to obtain the information underlying this type of complaint.
