Re: fines court costs
If you were placed on probation as part of your sentence and ordered to pay fines and costs and you failed to do so, you could be found in violation of your probation and sanctioned by the court. (Whatever part of your sentence that was suspended could possibly be imposed.)

Failure to pay fines and court costs can also result in one's driver's license being suspended by the DMV.
