Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Good Morning,
I live in the state of VA. I have 2 misdameanor charges/convictions in Virginia Beach from 2000 or 2001. I'm having a diffuclt time finding a job. Is there any way i can these charges sealed or expunged. I havent done anything since or before. Plus I recently graduated from College with my BS. Im also a veteran 1998-2002 USN

Per Va. Code Sec. 19.2-392.2 et seq. , unfortunately, the answer appears to
be, no. You may wish to contact your state representatives to consider
proposing a change in the current law to allow for the expungement of first
time misdemeanor offenses.
