Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Grand larcerny
I was charged with grand larceny for stealing $1,000. I wanted to know if I could get off on a technacality because the date that the incident occured is wrong on my warrant and all the other documents. My paper, he scracted it out and wrote the right date. But when I was getting booked, she stated that she had to use the date that was on the paper and the one that is scracted out and wrote over in pin is inaccurate. I also returned the money back in to her but the case was already started.

Re: Grand larcerny
No, I am afraid that you should not expect to have your felony charge dismissed based upon the "technicality" which you've described.
