Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

I was guilty of brandishing a pistol in Spotslyvania County Virginia. I didn't get any jail time just fines. Are they allowed to keep the firearm. It is legal and in my name?

Tell the lawyer who (hopefully) represented you to contact the prosecutor assigned to your case that you'd like to have your pistol returned. However, on this kind of charge, it can be considered forfeited and they don't have to return it.
