Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Want gun rights in va restored. No convictions since 2003. 1 domestic assault in 1998. We Later were married had 2 children. 2 breaking and enterings and possession of firearm by a convicted fellon in 1999. 2 assault and battery in 2003. Misdemeanor. Against girlfriend and neighbor. Plead guilty like a dumbbell so i could go home. Girlfriend testified never touched her but i was drunk and threatened her. No convictions since then. A couple of arrest for fighting. No convictions. Last was 7 years ago. Have had current job 5 years as a supervisor for logistics warehouse. Have custody of 2 children and have a fiance. Need to legally be able to protect my family in this demented world. Odds of my restore of firearm rights back?? I want a lawyer to handle it also. Not dumb enough to go alone.
