Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Can This Happen

Ok i recently was arrested for stealing in lowes. I was with 2 of my friends at the time and they were also stealing, i didnt know they were also stealing at the time. As we were walking out the alarm was set off and we caught. Then after taking all the stuff out of our pockets the security compiled it all together and came up with a total of 375$. They charged us all with grandlarceny, but only 2 of us got GL/ Conspiracy also. The other guy was a minor (17Yrs of age). If they had to add all of our stuff together to make it over 200$ (G.L.) but then only gave 2 of us Conspiracy charges... There was no individual totals taken for each of us. What do you think will happen? What should my lawyer push towards to get me out of Grand larceny?

Thank you

Re: Can This Happen

That you were acting all by your lonesome in this nefarious endeavor and knew nothing as to what your larcenous rapscallion companions were up to in the store, and that the petty little items which you pilfered from Lowe's and which were later removed from your little pockets added up to no more than petty larceny at most(less than $200)

in terms of their retail value.
