Heresay Objection

What would the objection be if:

1) A witness was offering into testimony about a phone conversation that took place between two other people,and those people where not in the courtroom?

2)The same witness was testifying about a phone conversation that he had with someone else, but that person was not in the courtroom to offer testimony?

1.) Hearsay

2,) The testifyer can testify as to what he himself uttered in these telephonic conversations but he could not recount what the other party said

or stated and who was not in the courtroom since this again would likely qualify as hearsay and therefore subject to objection.
