Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Hi,
I live in northern VA and this is where it all happened.
I was victim of malicious wounding by my ex boyfriend who btw I never lived with and never had a child with. He's currently in the county jail waiting for the court date. My question is: Do I have the right to drop the charges for money?
Thanks!

No, since the right to "drop the charges" in such a case normally lies with the local prosecutor's office
rather than with the alleged victim in the matter.
