Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
On my way home from work my aunt was waiting in the parking lot for me, she approached me asking if I wanted to fight, I said no, she hit me and started pulling my hair out, she wouldn't let go, I pulled out my work knife and I cut her, she released me and fled the scene and called the police and I was arrested, I'm not out on bond and not to have contact with her but how do I protect myself from her coming back or showing up at my job again without having my bond revoked?

Consider filing for a civil protection order (CPO) against this aunt in your local general district court after July 1, 2012, when the new law goes into effect.
