My husband used a credit card that came in our mailbox and he is facing a Class U felony and a misdemeanor charge. Is there jail time with a class U felony?

Yes, as with any felony charged under the Code of Virginia, there is
always the potential for time in the state penitentiary or (in some cases) the local jail for the defendant convicted of such an offense.
