Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My husband is locked up in a Richmond City jail and is being held on a detainer for St. Louis,MO. Is wondering how long or does it vary state-by-stae a time frame to ick him up. But he did do prison time back in the late 90's and appealed and gave time back. so do you think virginia is holding him on that charge back then?

Detainers normally last about 72 hours or so unless the requesting state
(Missouri in this case) specifically asks for an extension from the detaining
state (Virginia).
Regarding your second question, there is simply not enough information
to answer it(in my opinion).
