Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
If a husband n wife hv separate totally different charges in the same court, mind you they are even separated at the time...and the judge says to the wife " I'm going to see to it that your husband gets more time than you" isn't it fair to say that the husband was tried, convicted and sentenced before his case was ever heard? Innocent until proven guilty? Not for a moment!

Sentenced, yes, quite possibly (in some measure), but tried and convicted,
no, impossible, since neither has yet formally occurred.
