Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My husband is on probation right now in VA. The Sherrifs department came to his mom's house to serve a capias on him and, he wasn't there. Well, we looked on the Virginia Court case information website, and it says he had a court date for last week. Well, he didn't go, because he didn't know about it. It says under the disposition in district court Fugitive File. What does this mean? What will happen next?

A person who gets put in the fugitive file is usually someone who has failed to appear more than once. If your husband gets stopped by police for any reason - they will probably arrest him and take him into custody. Then transport him to appropriate adult detention center to await arraignment.
