Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

If implicated for past buy

What happens if a (cocaine) dealer gets busted and implicates people that occasionally purchased small quantities sometime in the past? - The people in question are currently clean, are NOT in possession, NO criminal record of any kind, agree to drug testing, never distributed and have no knowledge of dealer's contacts or distribution history. Are these people in any danger of prosecution?

Re: If implicated for past buy

Could be, however, much would depend upon the nature and quality of the implication. One thing worth bearing in mind in this situation, is that the principal being charged, i.e., the dealer in this case, will go to any lengths to lessen his

possible punishment and, consequently, will finger anybody and everybody whom he believes may be useful in helping him to achieve this particular objective. Most prosecutors, fortunately, are very much aware of this and factor it into their determinations regarding other people who should be charged as part of a drug distribution scheme.
