Imprisonment of Minor
Is this a crime - student is placed into confined area by principal during school dance. Not explained why, phone taken away, parents not notified, alone, door locked for 30 minutes. .until father shows up

Assuming that there was at least some halfway acceptable reason for this student's brief detention by the school's highest administrative official, i.e, the principal, I'd be inclined to say no, not too likely (that this event constituted a formal crime).
