Indecent Exposure in Virginia

I was charged with indecent exposure today for walking around my house nude(8.30 Am), they said that they seen me from the road but the Police officer said that when he seen me I had my blue shorts on which I did, I told the officer that I had opened the door stood there looking out (it was not long) and went and started getting dressed anyway does anyone know what penality I'm looking at or how to beat this charge. I was in my own house not outside not making any obscene jestures, the only thing that I think I'm guilty of is walking around my house nude!

Re: Indecent Exposure in Virginia

If you admittedly stood there in your open doorway, buck naked, so to speak,

and gazing out even for a short time(but within the likely observational perimeter of passersby or neighbors), then there was almost surely valid probable cause for your arrest or for serving you with a criminal summons.

Better arrange to retain a competent criminal defense counsel to represent you in this matter.
