Inmate with Severe Heart Problem

My fiance' is incarcerated in a Virginia State prison. He had a major heart attack last week and was in the hospital for a week. He is not scheduled to be released until 2015. Isn't there any way to get him released early due to this problem. The doctor said he is in bad shape. Please help!

Re: Inmate with Severe Heart Problem

You should first attempt to contact the attorney

who last represented your fiance to determine what contacts might be initiated with either DOC(Department of Corrections) and/or the court which sentenced him to the state penitentiary in order to see whether he might be eligible for any compassionate relief considerations or measures which could allow for his early release from prison.

One factor which you failed to clarify

is the age of the inmate which will usually be an important consideration in these kinds of situations in combination, of course, with the seriousness of his medical condition.
