Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
How can an inmate in VA DOC gain an appearance before a judge? Her release date is approaching and she needs to appear before a judge as she will medically not be able to go to Diversion. And how do we find out which court/judge should be appeared before?

She could contact her former defense counsel(assuming she had one) regarding
her situation, or if that's not an option, then, as I previously advised, she could write a judge of the court which sentenced her (either the judge who actually imposed the sentence which she's been serving or the current chief judge of the court should the former no longer be available).
