Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
interstate flight, obstruction/ impeding investigation
I am a bail enforcement agent. In one of my cases, the fugitive is wanted in va. I have talked with his mother, she said she has not seen him, yet she just got back from a cruise with him...his wife is the cosigner, she has taken him back to ohio, where they have been since he left va. I have tracked him from his mothers residents to ohio. Are there charges here or not???

Re: interstate flight, obstruction/ impeding investigation
Your inquiry would be better directed
to the local office of the Commonwealth's Attorney which presumably issued the warrant for the Virginia fugitive. They should be able to advise you as to whether the activities/behaviour which
you've ascribed to the fugitive's mother amount to prosecutable criminal conduct under the laws of the Commonwealth, and, if so, take appropriate action.
