Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Items not paid for.
If I am a former employee somewhere and i have items that have not yet been paid for but I want to pay for them because I never intended not to. I was terminated for lateness before I had a chance to pay. At the time I was allowed a 20% discount. Can I be criminally charged if the amount now with out the 20% would be more than $200 since I am no longer an employee? Or would it be that I cannot be charged because at the time I was allowed the 20%?

Re: Items not paid for.
That would very likely be a decision that would be up to the local office of commonwealth's attorney charged with prosecuting the crime.
